So far I have kind of a love/hate relationship with this Popsocket. I’ve been using regular adhesive Popsockets for many years, so when I finally got a MagSafe compatible case for my phone I was so excited to try the MagSafe Popsocket. So I’ll start with the good things:
    1) Obviously, having the option to remove the Popsocket completely is top tier. I was able to wireless charge before (not with MagSafe) with the adhesive base on my old case, but removing the Pop grip entirely helps my phone connect easier. Also, it’s just nice to have the option to take it off if I don’t want it there for whatever reason, and I don’t have to worry about adhesive ruining my case.
    2) Magnets are nice and strong so I’m not worried about it falling off. In fact, I struggle a bit to get it off sometimes.
    3) I got the warm lavender and the color is very pretty. I believe the top is swappable too, although I have a hard time twisting it off, I think because of the thick edges around it.

Which brings me to the things I don’t totally love…
    1) How big it is. I know this round design is a huge improvement from the “pill” shaped MagSafe grip (which I would never have bought lol), and I know it has to be a certain size to work with MagSafe anyway. I guess I’m just not used to it taking up so much space on the back of my case. For reference, I have the regular iPhone 12, so maybe you have one of those huge pop-tart phones it won’t look so large.
    2) The border around the actual grip where the magnets are. Don’t get me wrong, it’s slim and fits against the phone nicely, but it feels weird to hold because there’s less space for my fingers between the grip and the back of the phone now. Maybe I’m just too sensitive, idk.
    3) This is probably me being weird again but for some reason when my grip is closed down, whatever type of plastic it’s made of makes a strange sticky/squeaky sound. I think because it’s a different type of plastic than grips I’ve used before, since it’s translucent. Now, some people might not notice this, or some people might even like it. As I said, I’m just a little weird, but the sound bothers me regardless and makes it seem kinda cheap. Which for a $30 phone grip…. yeah, not McLovin’ it.

So, long story short, I have no idea if I’m going to keep this. I guess I’ll try it for another week or so and see how I feel about it. Not gonna lie, the few days I was Popsocket-free I liked how sleek my phone looked without one… until my butterfingers kept almost dropping it and I realized I desperately need some kind of grip. I don’t want to go back to a regular Popsocket with the adhesive, so maybe I’ll look elsewhere for a MagSafe-compatible grip that I don’t have so many gripes with.

Anyway, I can’t believe I said this much about a Popsocket, but here we are. Talk about first world problems. Kudos to anyone who actually made it through this lol

I loved using Otterbox’s popocket case for my last iphone but I was really sad to see they haven’t yet created one for the iphone 15 pro. So when I got this new phone, I was trying to find some type of case that had a handle feature (otherwise I drop phones way too much) and I stumbled across this. I was kinda wary of the price but figured I could return it if anything. The otterbox case I chose did not have Magsafe so this popsocket accessory seemed cool for the adapter magnet you could add to non-Magsafe. Once I put the adapter magnet on and brought the popsocket close, it immediately snapped right on! I had been worried the magnetic force was going to be weak in the adapter magnet, but it’s so strong it feel like it’ll be a struggle to take off, but I am okay with that! I don’t plan on taking the popsocket off ever and I wanted the magnetc adapter to be strong enough to virtually never fall off and I’m getting the sense from the strong adhesion that it won’t! If I sound like I’m rambling, well, I spent a couple hours scrolling through the internet and amazon trying to figure out what to get without breaking the bank too bad, so I feel like I really lucked out here. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who desperately needs a popsocket with magnet adapter (and I guess by extension anyone who has the MagSafe already).

I recently upgraded to an iPhone that supports MagSafe, and not having this option before, I’ve really been exploring the MagSafe options. Chargers, phone wallets, phone stands, etc. One of the big issues that I had with previous PopSockets was the placement and sticky adhesion to get the PopSocket to stick to the phone. I always use a PopSocket, as it makes it easier to hold and carry, but absolutely *dreaded* having to buy a replacement or having to put a new one on a new case because I could never get the placement right. The adhesion on the old ones were sticky, ensuring it never came off the phone… including when you wanted to remove it and place it somewhere else.

With this new MagSafe option, it eliminates the need for adhesion entirely. It also places it in the exact same place every time. This is extremely helpful and is something that has really convinced me of the quality and thought PopSocket puts into their products. I love that I can conveniently take the PopSocket on and off for MagSafe charging, easily popping it back onto my phone after charging overnight. The red also looks amazing, offering a red highlight to complement my phone and my case in a subtle, non-overwhelming way. I also enjoy the fact that you don’t have to stick with the red PopSocket that they include, and you can swap it for something else, a different design. I ended up buying a different, more decorative PopSocket and swapping it out because I liked the new design more, but also the included PopSocket is a different material than usual PopSockets and was more slippery than the textured PopSockets I was used to.

Overall, I really LOVE this MagSafe version of PopSockets. They even include a MagSafe adapter that you can stick to your phone, making any phone/case that isn’t MagSafe compatible easy to use with the MagSafe version of PopSockets and available accessories that accompany it. Had I known this, I would’ve stopped buying the adhesive versions of PopSockets a long time ago. I love the ease of removing and attaching the PopSocket, the durability, the look, and the chance to customize. The magnets are so strong I highly doubt the PopSocket and base are going anywhere, but in the case that something does happen to them, I will absolutely buying another version of the MagSafe PopSocket because it’s well worth the money and isn’t permanent on cases.

I’ve used PopSockets before and really liked it. Been using ring holders lately, but they are never really that comfortable to hold. Got the Captain America shield version of this PopSocket and love it. Shield part almost look and feel like metal. Very high quality. Magnet is very very strong it’s pretty hard to detach it once you attach it. Only downside of PopSockets compared to other ring holders is using it as a kickstand. Never really feel very stable as a stand. But that’s just a small thing compared to everything else it offers.

I absolutely love magsafe pop sockets and this design is so much nicer than the pill shaped one before this. The magnet is very strong and exactly enough to hold on completely, but easy to remove if you want to. Generally I would give pop sockets 5 stars since their design is superb and you can fidget with it endlessly and it won’t break. But here is my gripe – I got the Hedwig enameled one and it is gorgeous, but has a flaw: the protruding wing tips get caught at pockets all the time and eventually the pop socket itself came off, disappeared into thin air, and I was left with was just the magnet part. I cannot even find Hedwig anywhere, I am sure she flew away as she grew tired of living in my pockets.

So as long as you stick to a round shape, these are perfect!

Bought this for my husbands new phone since I got him a magsafe case. The magnet on the popsocket is really strong so getting it off can be a tiny bit of a struggle if you don’t do it right. I was surprised that the top of it is metal as most of them are plastic. I’m happy they actually make the socket without the giant base on it and made them into just the socket part itself. The base was a little tacky with how big it is. It’s even managed to survive multiple drops! Now that is impressive.

I was skeptical that a magnet could hold so well, but I wanted to use the new StandBy mode on my iPhone without removing the case every time. This MagSafe PopSocket mount is pricey, though it is on sale for 25% off on Black Friday. I took a chance and paid full price, and I’m glad I did. The PopSocket feels just like the sticker one I used on my old case, and the magnet is indeed powerful. I can slide it off when I want to remove it, but when attached, it is so strong I can shake the thing up and down and have yet to see it come off or loosen. The MagSafe part is thin and rounded, so it slides into my back pocket without catching. It has so far proven durable. I have played with it often in the past three weeks with no signs of wear. This is a great product.

I recently got the iPhone 15 pro max and this has hands down been my favorite accessory for it. As someone who’s struggled with pinky fatigue in the past, this definitely takes off the edge. It makes the perfect MagSafe accessory. And once it’s on, it ain’t going anywhere.

It’s actually a little hard to separate it from a MagSafe case, so be careful with your nails. Some sort of lip or pull tag might’ve been nice as leverage😅

The PopSockets: PopGrip with Swappable Top in its basic form is a handy accessory that adds a touch of functionality to my phone. While it’s not overly flashy, it gets the job done and offers some convenient features, earning it a solid four-star rating.

At its core, the PopGrip is designed to provide a better grip on your phone, and it excels in this aspect. The collapsible and expandable design offers a secure way to hold onto my device while texting, browsing, or taking photos. It’s particularly useful when using larger phones that can be a bit unwieldy with one hand.

The swappable top is a nice touch, allowing for a bit of personalization without committing to a permanent design. This feature allows me to change the look of my PopGrip to match my mood or outfit, which adds a fun and customizable element to my phone.

Installation was a breeze – the adhesive backing adhered well to my phone case, and it has held up without any issues. The collapsible feature works smoothly, and I’ve experienced no problems with it getting stuck or failing to expand when needed.

While the basic design is functional, it’s worth noting that this PopGrip doesn’t offer any additional bells and whistles. It serves its purpose well, but if you’re looking for added features like wallet storage or integrated stands, you might need to explore other models.

One potential downside is that the PopGrip adds a bit of bulk to the back of the phone, which could interfere with wireless charging or docking with certain accessories. Additionally, the swappable tops, while convenient, could potentially get lost if not carefully stored when swapped out.

In summary, the PopSockets: PopGrip with Swappable Top in its basic form is a reliable and functional accessory that offers a better grip on your phone and a bit of personalization. While it doesn’t come with advanced features, it serves its intended purpose well and enhances the usability of my phone. For those seeking a simple yet effective addition to their device, this PopGrip is a solid choice, earning it a four-star rating from me.
