I will say that the ANC Tech definitely rivals Nura with the base that’s for sure.
    Battery life is awesome!

    Well worth the money!

Insane bass unlike anything you’ll ever try as far as headphones other than the previous crushers and Crusher evo by Skullcandy themselves. The sound quality is amazing don’t believe the YouTube reviewers saying that this should be a secondary pair of headphones and that they provide only bass this are the real deal all around. The sound quality is a solid 8 out of 10. I own the Bose Q45 and their bass is lacking those are a higher end more expensive headphones and this ones sound almost as good quality wise but with higher volume, more customizable and pack “WAY” more Bass like day and night difference. The only things the Bose Q45 got on the Crusher ANC are better cushion, the pads won’t get as hot and a bit more clarity when listening to instruments other than that this is a cheaper all around better option.

    The positives:
    – You guessed it! Ridiculously brain rattling bass that you can control and adjust to your liking.
    – Secure fit, this things won’t fall out of your head even in hot and sweaty gym sessions.
    – They feel very sturdy and definitely not cheap although a little bit heavy which is fine. They feel much better than other more expensive headphones.
    – They look really cool and are very customizable you can change the pads for a variety of different colors and there’s a lot of cool stuff on Amazon for them.

Only negatives are: ( Not much to complain here)
    – The ear pads can get hot pretty quick in about 15-20 minutes, considering most of us got this headphones for the gym that’s something to think about but you can buy different pads and replace them with some that are made of a different material. Not a big issue whatsoever.

    – The sensory bass volume sometimes glitches after charging it with a different type C USB that isn’t the manufacturers (based on other user’s observations) or when the battery is low. It happened to me once so far but it’s easy to resolve.
To resolve this issue just restart them with the following steps; POWER BUTTON + VOLUME UP for 10 seconds, and boom problem fixed!

Other than those two issues I have 0 complains so far they blew my mind, more like rattled my brain 🤯 worth every penny!!! Skullcandy always Delivers!

So I am a lover of the crusher series.
I have owned pretty much every iteration of the series, and Everytime a new one comes out I get excited like a kid on Christmas.
The same happened when I found out about these and them setting to replace the very nice 360 line.
    BUILD:
Upon receiving my first pair (more on that later) I was some what disappointed, the plastic used is good plastic, and they do feel solid (I have no worry about the arms of the cups breaking like on the original crusher wireless), but they are nothing comparable to the 360s and being that theyir MSRP was around the same price, they don’t really feel like a successor.
    SOUND:
The sound on the other hand is a different story,
As soon as I put them on and started going through my library I was shocked, the overall quality of the sound has been improved and now even songs that are bass minimal sound good (with the slider cranked down of course)
The Haptic Bass has also been improved and sounds more like the thump of a real sub compared to the 360s overdone heavy bass.
In this area they do truly feel like a successor.
The Noise cancelation does have a very mild static sound to it, but does a decent job blocking out outside sounds, voices still get through a bit, but if music is going you probably won’t notice.
The ambient mode is eh, you can’t hold a conversation with them on so Id say it fails at what it was meant to do.
    QUALITY:
Now the reason for why my review rates these poorly is because this is my second pair.
The first after less then a week of having them started having a popping somewhat crackly noise in the right earcup, so I requested a replacement thinking that maybe I just got a defective model, which I would still agree with if not for the fact that just recently my replacement started the popping sounds again in the right ear cup. And over time they have gotten progressively worse, now if I’m listening to music at a lower volume the popping can be heard over the music and is pretty distracting.
    CONCLUSION:
If skull candy plans to charge so much for their headsets, they better make sure that those headsets are quality products, with he MSRP of this unit putting it in competition with some of Sonys higher end offerings I would expect more from it, like having more metal, and driver’s that don’t suffer from a popping anomaly after some time.
If your in the market for booming bass, I would suggest skipping these and looking for the 360s (if you can get them for under 200)

At 80 years old, I have my share of age-related hearing loss, as well as some left ear acoustic trauma loss – per a 2019 audiologist exam. The custom sound output profile afforded by this product via a series of tone tests, meets my needs well as a result of a simple and straightforward set up procedure. Having attended numerous concerts at the (now demolished) Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, I have a good idea of how studio-recorded music and live concert music differs.

These headphones provide a “live concert” experience as I listen to a variety of contemporary music. I have the bass slider on the left cup set for about 40% and it gives a “tenth row back, center” sound experience. If I set the bass slider at, say,80%, I get more of a “front row, center” experience. Simply put, these headphones are “concert experience” fun!

Now, if I wanted the more sedate experience of a classical string quartet, I would use my Bose QC IIs which are more apt to give me a “flat” experience, and, the Bose QC instrumental separation would be more concise. I would not call the Skullcandy headphones “reference” or “audiophile” level in sound quality, but they more than adequately handle any genre of music in my library. They are a tiny bit heavier than most premium headphones, but not so much as to be quickly uncomfortable. Pads are comfortably fine for my ear shape and size.

Pairing with my iPhone was simple. The ANC is unobtrusive and effective. The semi-hard carrying case is a nice addition as are the Tile location feature and cables for charging and wired use. I do not use the phone call/answer feature, but other reviews may comment on this.

I would highly recommend these Skullcandy ANC Crushers as fine general music cans for today’s crowd of listeners who like to be energized by their music.

I have owned this headset since January 2022 and I am general in construction.
I was worried this headset was going to be good sound and no durability but I was greatly mistaken.

So after finding its limits, I am still confident in giving it 5 stars.

    Here is a breakdown.

Over the last year I have done countless amount of concrete jobs (grinding, cutting, pouring, rain and shine). My headset has been coated in dust, dirt and rain and I just opened it up excepting to find it caked with dust inside but I was wrong. Clean as a whistle inside!

I found its limit this summer while I was doing a roofing job. At this point I’m getting carless and I left it on the hot roof. Must have gotten over 100F! It started vibrating like crazy making a loud buzzing sound which caught my attention. Surprisingly it still works, it just has a vibrating fit a few times a day, but turning it off and on again fixes it.

There was this one time when the adjustable bass was turned all the way down no matter where I set the slider. Again, I thought I broke it, but that never happened again.

The battery life is great! If I remember to charge it. A full charge will get me through an 8+hour day and then some. Plus I can throw it on a vehicle charger for 15min and I get a couple hours of charge.

I almost always have this thing on full volume but almost never turn the bass up higher than 1/4th.

The built in TILE tracker has come in clutch so many times!

The slider for the base gets scratched pretty quick but I’m not fancy enough to care.

The adjustable headstrap part is starting to loose its grip a tiny bit. Like I’m just now noticing it slipping through out the day, but again, I abuse this thing at work.

I’m rarely this happy with a product. I have loved Skullcandy’s stuff since I was a kid, and this was my first expensive headset purchase. Not a single thing disappointed me. I remember this headset changing the way I listen to music. The sound quality is the best I know.
I’m debating buying a second pair to store while its on sale for when (IF) my current one gives out.
I might also experiment with different ear pads.

I bought the GEN 2 of these headphones, and these GEN1 are by far, much better, I regret not to buy the GEN2 through Amazon, so I could have returned them. So my recommendation is buy these GEN1 instead of GEN2.

Anyway, just put them on, put the bass at 75% or so, then play your favorite song and music will never be the same. Whenever I put my Airpods I instantly miss my crushers, the bass and the sound are simply lovely.

Let’s get the basics out of the way. First things, first. These headphones are Bluetooth 5.0 compatible. Allowing very high quality Bluetooth sound, and distance. Plus it comes with, and utilizes USB 2.0 for high speed charging. I love high quality very loud sounding stereo systems. I can tell if certain sound frequencies are missing from the music I listen to especially bass. I don’t like it when I’m listening to music with a lot of bass, but when It gets to a part with low bass. The speakers will distort, and make a farting sound, or even worse. Will not play it at all. If you are like me. Buy these immediately. The treble range is great, and if you are a true bass head like I am. These will not disappoint. I never thought that a set of headphones could cover a complete range of bass frequencies for a reasonable amount of money. These headphones clear my sinuses. That’s how loud the bass can get. They cover the full bass range from mid 180htz all the way down to 20htz. They can easily be adjusted from normal casual listening. To vibrating against your ears. All you have to do is slide the bass adjustment on the headphones forward, or backward. You don’t have to pull up the app on your phone, or computer. Like you would with other headphones. Which is very convenient. The ANC isn’t perfect, but If you intend to use these headphones at the volume I do. You won’t hear anything around you at all. Plus it doesn’t give you that “I’m in a fish bowl effect.” That some of the slightly better noise cancelling headphones do. Now for the best part. The most impressive aspect of these headphones to me is. They don’t have any distortion problems at all. Even when I turned them up to max volume, and bass. I tried with multiple genres of music. From intense double bass drum heavy metal. To very low frequency drum and bass tracks. Just to see if there are any distortion problems. There are none. The engineers did an outstanding job creating a seriously loud headphone set, but not quite loud enough to sound bad. Even when you almost expect they would. I would also like to add that these are very comfortable. They are relatively light weight. The padding both on the ear, and top of the head are great. They do make my ears hot after a couple of hours, but that is the same with all over the ear headphones for me. The fit is snug enough that I don’t have to worry about them falling off if I look up, or bend down to pick up something. Yet loose enough that they are still comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I also loved how Amazon had them brought to my doorstep. The very next day, so I didn’t have to wait to try my new toy.

I bought these headphones to replace the original Wireless crushers I bought a few years back. These headphones are the most base intensive headphones I’ve ever owned. One review I saw compared the base from these headphones and compared them to being kicked in the head by a mule, he was not wrong. The packaging is understated and well thought out the headphones come with a hard shell case usb-c charging cable headphone jack cable and the headphones themselves. The fit and finish of this unit is impressive. I bought the black headphones and they are understated slick and look very nice. While these headphones are heavy they are not prohibitively so. The clamp Force on my head is nice I do not worry about these headphones falling off as I do yard work or work out. The noise canceling is decent. While they are not as active as the Bose qc2 these headphones block out a lot of the Ambient sound. With sound canceling on I do not feel like I’m in a tunnel or have the pressure effect often associated with active noise canceling. My listing environment is noisy as my house is on a busy road and my Aquarium produces a fair bit of sound. The filter noise from my aquarium is all but locked out however I can still hear dripping sounds from the filters. In addition when the ANC is on there is an audible hiss similar to a cassette tape. This hiss is not noticeable when sound from music or other media is played back through this headset. I do not find the hiss annoying but it is sad that Skullcandy couldn’t work around this issue.
The first thing I did after opening the package was turn on the headphones and paired them with my tablet. Pairing mode is very simple and quick and I had no problems with playback. I opened up YouTube and played a song by the Black Eyed Peas with the bass turned all the way up. Let me tell you that was an experience. After listening to the song I played around with the base slider and found that songs that already have a lot of bass don’t need a lot of help from these headphones and I turn the base slider down near to the bottom. Songs however that don’t have a lot of bass I was able to have the slider up much higher and found it to be a very enjoyable experience. I played Pachelbel’s Canon in D with piano and cello and found with the base turned up I was able to hear the low notes on the piano and found that it sounded like a live performance what I mean is the haptic base vibrations made the piano feel as if it was in the room with me. I then listened to a few tracks that I really like from Mannheim Steamroller and Kurt bester playing with with the bass slider to find the best sound environment. Listening to music with these headphones is dynamic and Rich and I found myself becoming emotional while listening to favorite tracks. Other reviews complain about the mids and the highs not being reproduced well however I prefer these headphones to my Bose qc2 for music. The reason being I can adjust exactly how much bass I want in my music. While there is an app that helps the user customize their listening preferences I found I did not need to do so. While the Bass on these headphones is haptic meaning there is a mechanical vibration that activates with low frequencies the effect is like having a subwoofer moving air in the listening environment. The haptic Bass as well as the low register from the earphones themselves makes music come alive. Most people are saying that this headset is only for bass heads, but those people are missing the point of this headphone. Sure the user can turn the bass up all the way and make their teeth rattle and it’s kind of fun to do that once in awhile, the reality is this headset allows the user to customize their listening preferences in a way that is unavailable from any other headset. I find the reproductions of the high and the mid-range to be decent bright and clear and with the bass slider I can customize and have full control of exactly how much Bass I want while listening to music.

I recorded this review using the microphone on the headphones. I found that my voice sounded natural and not muted as one would expect from ANC monitor headphones. Having the microphone built in is a nice touch. I think these would be great for playing games even though there is not a boom mike like most gaming headphones this shows a boom mic is not necessary when playing games. This partly justifies the price of this headset as it can be used for gaming phone calls and for listening to music. Additionally this headset comes with the tile feature built in. If you are worried about losing your headphones or leaving them at the coffee shop or not being able to locate them which was the case for my original crushers and necessitated the replacement, the tile feature will help you locate where your headphones are and works very well.

While this headset is not for everyone I find it is quickly becoming my go-to headset. The only downside is this headset went on sale the day after I ordered it. I did contact Amazon only to find that they no longer guarantee lowest price and I was out of luck. This is not acceptable when one considers the price of Amazon Prime and soured the experience when buying these headphones.

In conclusion I would recommend these headphones for anyone who wants an immersive sound experience. Not only is the build quality the fit and finish and feel of these headphones impressive, they’re also feature rich with app support and support for the tile feature built in this is a good choice for those who use headphones and are looking for an immersive experience.

I own the skullcandy crushers, and i also own the Bose Sport Earbuds – True Wireless Earphones. The bass of the crushers is nothing like you’ve ever felt before. Its incredible and incomparable to any other headphones on the market. Its in another league. However, there is some definitely fatigue, since they clamp a bit hard. But if you love heavy bass, they are probably one of the best choices. Yes they have a hiss constantly, but when you are listening to music, you dont really notice it, and it hasn’t bothered me at all. No lag with my android note 10 plus phone when watching content. Blue connectivity is great, never drops out. however, i am considering buying a pair of used xb900s for longer listening that still have great bass (although i have not yet tried them). My only complaint of these skullcrushers is the fatigue when wearing. I can wear them for an hour or two, with a few 30 second breaks here and there, but i really love the bass on them for electronic and rap, and even rock music.

My bose sport true wireless earphones sound amazing, midrange is a bit better than the crushers, and base is quite good and enjoyable for rock, rap, edm etc.. but my bose wireless buds are nothing compared to the skullcrushers in bass response. But i use both headphones for completely different purposes. My skullcrushers are for at home listening to music, or movies and gaming (imagine firing a machine gun full of bass, shaking your head, yeah that amazing). And my bose wireless are used for exercise, and i can sweat in them without worrying since they are certified sweat proof. The skullcrushers are not sweat proof, and i wouldnt recommend them for exercise that makes you sweat.

I bought my skullcrushers for 207.99 on amazon about a week ago. The price has gone up to 318. I would not recommend them for 300 plus dollars. However, for the price I paid for them, if you have the money, and you love bass, I strongly recommend them. The tile feature is to find the headphones is incredible, and a great idea.

    Hope this helps someone 🙂

I’ve had the OG Crusher Wireless for sometime and enjoyed the crap out of them. I’m a huge bass head spending hours in the car just listening so the Crushers were the best headphones I’d ever experienced. The only thing keeping them from being perfect in my eyes were the very low frequency bass notes it couldn’t replicate. These Crusher ANC hit EVERY SINGLE LOW NOTE IT CAME ACROSS I have a playlist specifically for monster systems and omg i felt like I got high off just listening and feeling the bass in these headphones. I am thoroughly impressed with the sound quality and specifically the bass. The highs and mids didn’t change as I turned up the bass slider another dislike I had with the OG Crushers. If anyone reading this has the OG Crushers these are DEFINITELY worth the upgrade for the bass alone.

I did a good deal of research and review reading before purchasing so I’m keeping an eye out for the various things I read about. Buttons aren’t firm and are kinda mushy. They do have the little click confirming press you fully pressed the button. The Noise Canceling is meh it’s not a mind blowing difference between Off, Ambient, and ANC mode but it’s still noticeable. There is a low hiss of white noise when ANC is on but it’s not distracting. I actually enjoy it because I normally listen to white noise in the background. They don’t feel nearly as tight as the OG Crushers did out of the box and I have dreadlocks. There is also a noticeable difference after creating my Sound Profile. Apparently my left ear isn’t as good as my right.

Purchased for $214 after tax while they were on sale and couldn’t pass on the deal. So far do i believe they were with the $320 price tag? Nah. Honestly with the meh Noise Canceling id only purchase if on sale but if you got money to spend but all means go for them. The sound quality alone are worth it. Will update after a full month of usage.
